United States
After an early career in retail and CPG sales, I moved to California and began farming wine grapes with my father in 1988-1994 during which time I received an MBA in Agribusiness from Santa Clara University. From 1995-2001 I ran a Rubus genetics company called Sweetbriar Development, Inc. for Reiter Affiliated which was sold to Driscoll’s in 2001. I continued with Driscoll’s, running supply in the America’s until 2019. In February 2019 I returned to the family farm (silettofamilyvineyards.com) to help my ailing father and took over the family business when dad passed away. I returned full time to Reiter Affiliated as the Executive VP of Global Strategy in January 2022.
I am an expert in the architecture of agricultural supply ecosystems from genetics through production. As a strategic supply architect, I am proficient at commercializing genetics, pro forma master production planning, and business model strategy. During my career I have been responsible for Breeding and R&D, Nursery, Supply Planning, Latin America, Business Model and Strategic Planning. When the companies were smaller, I led many of these areas at the same time, which was a fortunate experience. I have also been involved with and led projects including mergers, new business development and operating model design.
