Mike Gomes

Michael has been active in the mechanization, automation and now digitization of field operations for outdoor industries his entire career. As Vice President of Sustainability and Global CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) for Topcon Positioning Group, he brings a depth of knowledge and experience with both Agriculture and Construction processes combined with a strong background in business and product strategy to this influential role. Beginning his career at Topcon in 2005, he has held positions in product, market and business development while also being a co-inventor on four technology- related patents. He has a successful track record of strategic relationships with OEMs and has had a lead or cornerstone role in many successful mergers and acquisitions as the company has grown its Agricultural business segment.

A career’s experience of applying electronics toward problems of field agriculture; specifically use of optics, sonics, GPS in conjunction with mechanics to streamline and automate agricultural operations of harvesting, spraying, fertilizer applications, seeding and transplanting. Strengths in professional product development of an engineered solution using electronics and control loop automation. Have worked with start-ups, small specialized businesses within global niche markets and Major Manufacturers of tractors and implements.
