Ella Rasmussen is a Robotics Software Engineer, specializing in computer vision and machine learning for robotics perception. After graduating from the University of Waterloo in 2020 with a Bachelors in Mechatronics Engineering, she began her career in the Self-Driving industry building perception systems for autonomous cars at Lyft Level 5. With a passion for sustainability, Ella turned her sights toward AgTech, aiming to use her talents to address environmental sustainability and food security. Ella has since worked on robotics for automated hydroponic greenhouses, and is currently building perception systems for autonomous tractors at Agtonomy. Outside of robotics, Ella loves to spend time learning about plants and experimenting with growing various vegetables and flowers in her container garden.
