Kingman Ag makes tractor autonomy practical and affordable for growers facing labor and financial constraints. Rather than requiring growers to purchase a purpose-built autonomous machine or change their equipment strategy, Kingman Ag adds autonomy to the tractors growers already own and trust. Growers choose the tractor; Kingman Ag brings the technology.
Kingman Ag’s vision-based Physical AI can be retrofitted across tractor makes and models while maintaining the tractor’s ability to operate manually. A single switch allows the operator to toggle between autonomous and manual operation, so the tractor remains a versatile piece of equipment for the farm.
The system works with standard implements without requiring additional implement sensors or modifications. Kingman Ag can autonomously perform common field operations including spraying, mowing, discing, shredding, sweeping, trimming, sulfur dusting, and more.
Unlike autonomous systems that depend heavily on LiDAR or GPS for in-row navigation, Kingman Ag uses camera-based computer vision and AI. Vision-based navigation delivers sub-inch row accuracy at speeds up to 7 mph and is designed to operate reliably in challenging agricultural environments including dust, tall weeds, low branches, closed canopies, and GPS-denied conditions. RTK GPS complements the vision system for headlands, roads, and open areas.
Kingman Ag’s retrofit physically controls steering, hydraulics, braking, and implement engagement through mechanical actuators, motors, pneumatic controls, and a 12V interface. Fail-safe pneumatic braking, multiple system redundancies, and a patented safety bumper are incorporated into the platform. Cellular and/or Starlink connectivity enables remote monitoring and support.
Most importantly, Kingman Ag is not simply demonstrating the potential of autonomous agriculture. Growers are using Kingman Ag systems today in commercial farming operations, running tractors autonomously day and night. By allowing growers to retain their existing tractors and implements, Kingman Ag lowers the capital required to adopt autonomy while helping farms reduce dependence on labor and get significantly more productive hours from equipment they already own.
Growers keep their equipment. Kingman Ag adds the autonomy.
