Tim Marquis is the Director of Farm Systems Innovation, a team within John Deere’s Small Ag & Turf division. His team brings AI into orchard and vineyard operations, helping growers understand their crops, make informed agronomic decisions, and coordinate equipment and crews. Prior to leading Farm Systems Innovation, Tim held product leadership roles in John Deere’s Intelligent Solutions Group, where he led cross-functional teams across data engineering, data science, and product management, building the Precision Ag Analytics platform and delivering machine learning automation products for Deere equipment. Throughout his career, Tim has focused on turning emerging capabilities in sensing, machine learning, and automation into products growers adopt and trust. He holds an M.S. in meteorology from Iowa State University and a B.S. in meteorology from the University of Oklahoma.
